3form

3form Glass

Material 14 | 16

3form glass is produced by encapsulating organics and fabrics with a poured cast resin within standard clear float glass. This technique enables the possibilities of capturing a 3-dimensional appearance without sacrificing clarity or the natural beauty of the interlayer materials. It is based on a patent-pending liquid lamination technology. The lamination process allows distribution of objects throughout the glass, and enables a frameless application. The material is produced with standard clear float glass. Special glass finishes and traditional etching may also be incorporated with 3form Glass. Possible as interlayer is e.g.: bubble, larkspur, cascade (lime, scarlet, tangerine, turquoise), pineapple weave, seaweed, curly willow, sequins silver, (Custom interlayer on demand). 3form glass comes standard with a "swiped" edge. Swiped means that the edge is free of glass shards. In addition, edges can be polished and bevelled which is the recommended finish for applications where the edges are exposed. Relatively UV stable for mild exterior use, edge sealing may be required for organics and fabrics.
