Energy Efficient Doors

When it comes to alfresco living (bringing the outdoors inside) designers have a few options for maximizing the effectiveness of space. One of those options is a bi-fold system but the most prolific option has historically been sliding doors. But, sliding doors have some issues that have caused builders/architects to pursue other choices. The Norwood 3070 family (EX, HI and CR) of sliding doors has caused design professionals to sit up and take notice.
In a word, the Norwood 3070 products are innovative. Because each panel has its own dedicated frame, the configuration possibilities are in the thousands. Its double tongue bottom rail/sill relationship offers weather performance yet maintaining a ¾” sill height that meets ADA Secondary Access code requirements. The family consists of the basic non-thermally broken “EX” and its thermally broken twin brother, the “CR”. The Norwood 3070-CR allows maximum energy efficiency by incorporating a polyurethane connection between the outside and inside of each extrusion. Finally, the “HI” door has been modified for meeting hurricane debris standards in Dade County Florida. It boasts huge sizes that still exceeds the needs for the worst hurricanes.
The robust screen system of the “family” is made of the same material as the glass panels, making it the strongest and most versatile screen door on the market. The Norwood family was designed for thin line verticals to maximize the view and with design ingenuity that allows the door to exceed 14’ in height. To top it all off, the Norwood 3070 family of products comes with the largest sliding door roller in the world. It was designed in concert with our a Switzerland based partner. Fleetwood calls it the Precision Mammoth and once you have experienced the Precision Mammoth, you will not settle for anything less.

Minimalist Drapery Rods

These drapery rods are fabricated from either high recycled content carbon steel or stainless steel, providing the user with an elegant and functional piece of hardware. Inspiration in this case is more high RPM than baroque in nature. Milled from industrial scrap stock, these pieces exist as a more sustainable "support apparatus" for the fine fabrics in our modern interiors. Even behind the scenes details warrant design attention
