02. Sun Control

Shading Systems

Shading Systems that Help Create a Comfortable Environment
C/S Sunshades not only reduce a buildings heat and glare but provide buildings with cutting edge aesthetics. Lightshelves help bring the outside in. All three products are highly customized to meet your buildings sun control requirements.

C/S Shadowline Series
Six standard infill panels are offered, custom patterns available. With projection up to six feet, Shadowline sunshades are perfect for use on curtainwalls and standard construction. Select from a variety of infill patterns, fascia and outrigger styles - produces a custom look.

C/S Perform Sunshades
A new perforated sunshade, in a variety of patterns, create dramatic visual effects on any building façade while reducing direct sunlight. This sunshade provides buildings with effective sun control, yet offers stunning visual effects by omitting soft dappled light. C/S Perform curved and flat canopies employ a slender custom design tube support that mechanically captures our perforated sheet without the use of unsightly welding. The perform system can be designed to meet any wind or snow load, and any custom design.

C/S Lightshelves
C/S Lightshelves are the finishing touch to any sun control system. While sunshades keep the sun out, lightshelves redirect the sun to create a natural comfortable work environment while reducing heat and lighting costs. By bouncing daylight off the ceiling and bringing it deeper into the buildings interior lightshelves create a calming environment. A variety of edge treatments and mounting styles are available to work with any interior.

03. Modular Green Roof Systems

GreenGrid® Modular Green Roof Systems
Weston Solutions, Inc. (WESTON®) has installed over 1,000,000 square feet of the GreenGrid® modular green roof system since our first project in 2001. The GreenGrid® Green Roof System, like all green roof systems, has the ability to reduce a building’s energy costs and reduce stormwater run-off, but unlike traditional layered systems it’s simple-modular design makes it cost effective and easy to install.
One of the biggest advantages of this system is the ability to easily access the underlying roof for needed repairs or changes without destroying the Green Roof. Unlike traditional green roofs systems, GreenGrid® modules can be simply moved for repairs and replaced when the repairs are finished. Another key advantage to the GreenGrid® Green Roof System is the option to install a portion of a green roof and easily add on as needed or as addition funding becomes available.
GreenGrid® modules are available in three different depths, which allows the system to be configured and planted to meet specific needs and/or a desired look. The GreenGrid® system can be used for extensive green roof designs and intensive roof garden designs, which is not an option with most modular green roof systems. GreenGrid® is delivered to the site pre-planted and ready to install. In a matter of days, a building’s roof can be transformed into a beautiful Green Roof.

04. Energy Efficient Lighting

Agili-T luminaire + iGEN intelligence
Lightolier Agili-T’s new center-lamp design marks the beginning of novel, more affordable architectural fluorescent pendant forms, including Neo, Coplanar System and Coplanar Solo.

Advanced Engineering & Installation Convenience
First launched in 2000, Agili-T is the only family of pendant luminaires designed from the ground up as an intelligent addressable system that is simple to install and commission. Its unique engineering, which includes all-in-one mechanical/electrical/network connections, super lightweight construction and clever suspension features, is protected by 7 patents (3 pending). Agili-T comprises some 30 architectural pendants as well as furniture and wall-mounting systems, which use high-output T-5 and T-5 HO (28W & 54W) lamps.

Agili-T luminaire + iGEN intelligence = Network lighting options
Agili-T luminaires and iGEN solutions work together to produce low-energy, quality lighting in an ergonomic workplace. In a green building project, early discussion of Agili-T/iGEN strategies can help facility owners and architects achieve a more cost-effective, integrated sustainable lighting design, including optimal daylight harvesting. In addition, Agili-T lighting is designed to earn more LEED™ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) points than most other building lighting technologies.
“With iGEN, Agili-T delivers the right amount of light, at the right place and at the right time. Together, they offer outstanding lighting control flexibility, whether you are outfitting a single office or an entire building,” says François-Xavier Morin, Product Manager for Lightolier Architectural Lighting Systems (ALS) products including Agili-T. “iGEN is scalable, so you can perform any number of add-ons to your network. And Agili-T is a very mobile, interchangeable luminaire, in addition to supplying extra-wide indirect distribution, meaning fewer luminaires are required in a given space.”
A typical iGEN network uses Agili-T AGM, AGI or AGV, featuring separate direct-indirect optics, to enable independently controlled uplight and downlight components, the latter providing occupants with task light dimming suited to their needs and preferences. Configuration versatility is another Agili-T benefit, as the luminaire can be easily installed in continuous rows. Also, endcap adapters with built-in quick connectors allow a variety of patterns, including “X”, “L” and “T” shapes.

05. Sustainably Harvested

Commercial Wood Ceilings
9Wood, Inc. fabricates commercial wood ceilings. This company is committed to holistic building design and construction processes. This is exemplified by its third party certification for Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood. With the prevalence of the LEED™ program, the demand for wood ceilings using certified wood has been steadily increasing and borders on becoming a mainstream element of design. Certified wood ceilings are recognized under the Materials & Resources [MR] 7 category in LEED™ NC 2.2, and is defined as having met the criteria listed in the “Principles and Criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council”. In summary, certified wood is sustainably harvested and strives to honor the “3 P’s”: people, profit, and planet.
There are several species available for certified wood ceilings, namely White Fir, Cherry, Red Oak, and Natural Maple. The certified wood is harvested at site-specific locations around the globe, and then brought to Oregon where they are milled for assembly into the various ceiling panel configurations such as Grilles or Linears. A stain or a clear coat finish is applied and then the panels are shipped to the jobsite where they are suspended using T-bar grid. All the while during procurement and fabrication, the project management team works closely with the acoustical sub-contractor and architect to ensure panel lengths are fabbed to correct sizes. Lead-times can range from 8-15 weeks depending on the kind of certified wood required, and not all species are available certified.
In addition to solid certified wood, 9Wood can offer certified particleboard. This allows for larger panel sizes to be made using veneers, which are also available certified. The styles and combinations are literally countless and 9Wood will assist with samples, technical information, and species direction as necessary to accomplish the desired aesthetic while incorporating certified wood. 06. Solar Electric Power

BP Solar Energy Systems
BP Solar‘s line of solar electric systems has been designed to maximize energy generation for both commercial and residential structures and to integrate seamlessly with your utility provider.
We have developed commercial systems for flat and sloped roofs (EnergyMax roof systems) and for large open areas (EnergyMax ground systems.   BP Solar ensures that buying solar will be easy and hassle-free – from initial contact to the operation of your system. Services include feasibility assessment, financing, turnkey system delivery, communications support, system operation and maintenance.
BP Solar Home Solutions® systems utilize high performance monocrystalline or multicrystalline modules. BP Solar modules can be securely mounted to almost any kind of roof – flat or sloped – with just about any type of roofing material, including slate, metal, tile, asphalt and shake shingles. Your BP Solar representative will assess your home’s energy needs along with available roof space to determine the optimum system for your home. The assessment includes roof type, pitch, shape and orientation, as well as analysis of potential shading throughout the year.  Your BP Solar Home Solutions® system will be connected to the utility grid. A meter tracks net energy usage, spinning forward when electricity is being used from the grid, and backwards, generating a credit, when your system creates more electricity than you require.
